The Chapel
One of Corinth's most notable landmarks.
How It Started
With a history dating back to the founding of Corinth itself, Corinth's oldest church building has become one of its most notable landmarks. From a school to the Civil War, the building has seen several transformations throughout the years. However, on April 20th, 1976, the Fillmore Street Chapel was acquired by First Methodist Church. Since then, it has been used in a variety of ways including services, Sunday school, and youth activities. With some services still being held here, The Chapel has become well-known in the community as a wedding and event venue. With its original stained glass windows and pipe organ from 1900, The Chapel still retains much of its historic character and charm.
